Diploma illustration cycle. The four illustrations are based on the myths and folk tales about Pleiades star cluster. First one is based on Norse legend about goddess Freya, who's hens escaped into the sky.
Second one is an Inuit legend about Nanouk the bear, surrounded by hungry dogs. Dogs started chasing him and they all fell of the edge of the world and became stars.The third legend is called Baby Zvizdy and it's an medieval Ukrainian tale. According to it, Pleiades are faithful priestesses of the Gods, who dance to praise them until their death, when Gods put them in the sky to dance for them forever after.
The last illustration is based on the Tuareg people legend. Pleiades to them is and old wise wanderer, who always shows the right way. He is the Guide.
